Eu amo o outono, se isso não ficou claro na nota do editor, espero que fique claro nesse artigo que tenta ser um caderninho de anotações, daqueles com colagem. Trago aqui meus favoritos do outono e algumas das tendências que eu estou amando no momento e qu acredito que vieram pra ficar. I love autumn, if that wasn’t clear in the editor’s note, I hope it’s clear in this article that aims to be a little notebook of tips. Here are my fall favorites and some trends that I’m loving right now and that I believe are here to stay. Layers /Camadas

Camada é vida. Para mim é ai que está toda a graça da moda. A possibilidade de empilhar roupas, mudar a silhueta, jogar um casaco por cima, reinventar peças leves com um casaco misturar o confortável com o rígido, enfim é o quebra-cabeça da moda é o famoso styling!

Layering is life!! For me that’s where all the fun of fashion is. The possibility of stacking clothes, changing the silhouette, throwing a coat over it, reinventing light pieces with a jacket, mixing the comfortable with the rigid, that’s the fashion puzzle and the famous styling!

Spice Pumpkin Latte/ Café com abóbora

Essa época do ano que você encontra tudo de abobora quando você está no hemisfério norte. Mas, de todas as invenções (muitas estranhíssimas) a minha favorita é o café com leite e essência de abobora que você encontra em todo canto. Mesmo quando não é tão bom acaba sendo ótimo, tem aquele gostinho de abraço apertado, de doce da casa da vó, enfim é uma delicia. Deixo aqui esse depoimento e saio correndo dos puristas do café.

That time of year you find everything pumpkin! But, of all the inventions (many very strange) my favorite is the pumpkin spice latte that you find everywhere – some much better than others. Even when it’s not so good, it ends up being great, it has that taste that feels like a warm embrace, in short it’s delicious. I leave this testimony here as I run away from the coffee purists.

Clogs

Voltou né amores, a tamanca chegou e devo ficar. Ela vem nessa onda de reviver anos 90-2000 e da necessidade de conforto que foi amplificada pela pandemia. Eu confesso que estou amando e acho que assim como foi com a pochete, que a forma de usar deu uma elevado no produto e não acho que essa tendência vai embora tão cedo. Tem tantos modelos e tanta forma de usar. O segredo é quebrar com peças mais estruturadas, calças de boca larga enfim, aquela famosa misturinha. 

It’s back my loves, the clog arrived and I must stay. It comes on this wave of reliving the 90s-2000s and the need for comfort that was amplified by the pandemic. I must confess that I’m loving it and I think that as it was with the fanny pack, the way of styling it changed the game  and I don’t think this trend will go away anytime soon. The are so many models and so many ways to use. The secret is to break its coziness with more structured pieces such as wide-leg pants and other formal wear.

Fall splendor / Folhas no chão

Como não amar as folhas mudando de cor, caindo no chão, o drama dessa estação? É tempo de ler mais, de assistir aquelas sérias, de dar um gás nos estudos, de passar horas num café (se a pandemia permitir), de festinhas em casa, de revisitar musicas antigas. 

What’s not to love about  leaves changing their color, falling to the ground, the drama of this season? It’s time to read more, to watch binge watch series, to give your studies a boost, to spend hours in a cafe (if the pandemic allows), to do home parties, to revisit old songs and records.

Casaco Trench / Trench coat

Acho que é uma das minhas peças favoritas da vida. Nunca resisto, é um atemporal, é o dono da estação. E pode até acompanhar no inverno adentro se você estiver com a camada certa ou se comprar um de material mais pesado. Pode amarrar na cintura, pode amarrar atrás, pode brincar com as mangas. Enfim, vale cada centavo, dá para achar em brechó… Atualmente reinventado em diversas coleções. DICA: Compre um pouco maior para poder estilizar de formas diversas e também para poder fazer camadas com peças diversas. 

I think it’s one of my favorite pieces ever. I can’t resist, it is timeless, it rules the season. And you can even keep it in winter if you put some heavy layers on or if you buy a heavier material one. You can tie it around the waist, you can tie it in the back, you can play with the sleeves. Anyway, it’s worth every penny, you can find it at a thrift store… Currently reinvented in several collections. TIP: Buy it oversized – so you can style it in many mor ways and layer with many other pieces.

Monochrome

Eu sempre falo aqui para vocês que na duvida use uma cor só ou tons bem parecidos e isso é o monocromático. Virou um clássico de todas as estações – mas é verdade que é a cara do outono. Aposte em tons de terra, verdes ou senão abuse numa cor diferente e chame atenção. Vai arrasar de todo jeito.

I always tell you here that when in doubt, use only one color or very similar tones and that is monochromatic. It’s become an all-season classic – but it’s true that it has autumn written all over. Bet on earth tones, greens or otherwise go on with a different (bright) color. It’s going to be amazing anyway.

Pop of color / Um toque de cor

Toques de cor sempre dão um UP num visual mais simples ou monocromático. Pensa no Timothée Chalamet! E no outono você vê muito isso por ai. Pode ser um sapato, um casaco, uma bolsa, uma echarpe, enfim. E anota ai que esse outono vamos ver muito vermelho (e misturado com rosa) e muitos tons de azul, do elétrico ao bebê. DICA: Invista num colete (aqueles do vovô, vieram para ficar ou cardigã colorido).

Touches of color always give an UP to a simpler or monochromatic look. Think Thimothée Chalamet! It’s a  autumn  staple for sure. It can be a shoe, a coat, a bag, a scarf, whatever. And note that this fall we will see a lot of red (often mixed with pink) and many shades of blue, from electric to baby. TIP: It’s still worth buying in a vest (the trend goes on), or a colorful modern cardigan – it will stay strong in your wardrobe.

Leather / Couro

Outono é para usar couro né. Pode ser sintético, vegan ou melhor ainda se for do brechó usado, reaproveitando, sustentável. Tá em alta nas coleções, é um clássico atemporal. Não tenho medo de tentar calças, camisas, jaquetas, casacos – quiçá um trench de couro – duas tendencias em uma!

Autumn is for leather, right? It can be synthetic, vegan or even better if it’s from a thrift stores, sustainability is the key! It’s a trend in many collection but it’s also a timeless classic. Don’t be afraid to try leather pants, shirts, jackets, coats – maybe a leather trench – two trends in one!

Exaggerated shoulders / Ombreiras dramáticas 

Terminemos aqui com algo mais difícil, mais dramático. Em muitas coleções pudermos ver essas ombreiras que vão lá nos anos 80 e trazem um exagero maravilhoso, uma estrutura. Não agrada todo mundo e as vezes pode ser difícil para usar dependendo de como você ve suas proporções. Mas, se você conseguir deixar isso de lado e achar a peça certa, é um “fashion moment”. Tente um casaco, uma jaqueta – tem muito em brechó. Mas, também pode ser uma camiseta com ombreiras ou o clássico blazer. A ombreira vai sempre entrar e sair da moda, mas para quem se sente bem com elas, nunca sai de moda e é sempre um arraso – se bem usado. Arrisque-se! 

Let’s end here with a more difficult, a more dramatic one. In many collections we can see these shoulder pads that go all the way back to the 80s and bring a wonderful exaggeration, a structure. It may not appeal to everyone and sometimes it can be difficult to use depending on how you see your proportions. But, if you can put all that aside and find the right piece, it’s a “fashion moment”. Try a coat, a jacket – there’s a lot in thrift stores. But it can also be a t-shirt with shoulder pads or the classic vintage blazer. The shoulder pad will always go in and out of fashion, but for those who feel good with them, they never go out of style and are always a hit – if used well. Take a chance!
