Is that a thing the first designer bag? Probably not the event of the year, but it’s a really nice moment in a fashion lover life! Although I’m more of a show addicted, I love bags and accessories in general and for a while now I’ve been aiming a designer bag to call mine and to carry through time with me.
The thing is, that I am not a compulsive/fast buyer… Sometimes I have a moment where I see exactly the piece I had in my mind and then I go for it, but normally I’m one to analyze for quite a bit. So, the process of buying a designer bag took me a couple of years…
First I decided on the model I wanted, which I fell in love over the internet and it is the Randonnee GM Backpack from Louis Vuitton. And there the problem started, because it is a vintage model, not in stores currently… So, for a while, I only dreamed
of it.
Louis Vuitton did a special edition of this model in full bright colors but I really love the one with the canvas. I looked up online and found people selling it, but dilemma part two, I was afraid to invest such money on a used bag over the internet and to find one in good conditions was a challenge. And so, the years went by.
The bag never went out of my mind, even though I fell in love with some other models from other brands and I was circling back to this Louis Vuitton. It’s funny because Louis Vuitton is hugely popular everywhere, so popular that it became the aim of imitation all over and it almost became tack… But I find really amazing the way the brand reinvented itself through the years, keeping it fresh, relevant and classic.
I was sure I wanted this bag and now I just needed to find out how. While I was in New York this last time, I looked all over for it in the amazing vintage shops they have there, but with no success. So I decided to face my fears and buy it online.
After lots of researchers, I found the one, on good conditions, fair price and it seemed secure, so I bought it, my first designer bag, the LV Randonne. And I am totally satisfied. It arrived quickly and it’s just like I wanted. I love this model because it’s at the same time vintage and modern, it’s a nice size and very practical. I’m happy it’s vintage, makes it more unique and has history to it, and it’s a nice way of consuming – I’m definitely happy with my decision, although it came at a time I was not supposed to be spending money, it was a nice investment on myself – a delayed bday gift (see what I’m doing here?).

So, that’s the history… Now it’s true I am aiming for some designer shoes and another smaller bag. But I’ll take my time, the chase is also part of it and when you invest in pieces like this I really think you should take your time and be sure you gonna purchase pieces that you will make the best use, otherwise it’s just meaningless.

Provavelmente não é o evento do ano, mas é um momento muito legal na vida de um amante da moda – a primeira bolsa de designer! Embora eu seja mais viciado em sapatos, eu adoro bolsas e acessórios em geral e, por um tempo, tenho procurado uma bolsa de designer para chamar de minha e levar pra vida.
A coisa é que eu não sou um comprador compulsivo / rápido… Às vezes, eu tenho um momento em que vejo exatamente a peça que eu tinha em mente e dai eu vou e compro e pronto, mas normalmente sou uma pessoa que gosta de analisar um pouco. Então, o processo de comprar uma bolsa de grife me levou alguns anos …
Primeiro decidi pelo modelo que queria, que me apaixonei pela internet e é a Bolsa Randonnnee GM da Louis Vuitton. E aí o problema começou, porque é um modelo vintage, não ntem as lojas atualmente… Então, por um tempo eu só sonhei com isso.
A Louis Vuitton fez uma edição especial deste modelo em cores cores fortes, mas eu realmente amava o clássico modelo com a estampa canvas. Eu pesquisei on-line e descobri algumas pessoas estavam vendendo, mas aí vem o dilema parte dois, eu tinha medo de investir esse dinheiro em uma bolsa usada na internet e encontrar uma em boas condições era um desafio. E assim, os anos passaram – sim anos!
A bolsa nunca saiu da minha cabeça, mesmo que eu tenha me apaixonado por outros modelos de outras marcas, eu sempre me pegava pensando nesse modelo da Louis Vuitton. É engraçado porque a Louis Vuitton é muito popular em todos os lugares, tão popular que se tornou o objetivo massivo da imitação e quase se tornou algo brega… Mas, eu acho realmente incrível a forma como a marca se reinventou ao longo dos anos, mantendo-a fresca, relevante e clássica.
Eu tinha certeza que queria essa bolsa e agora eu só precisava descobrir como. Enquanto estive em Nova York pela última vez, procurei nas lojas vintage incríveis que tem por lá, mas sem sucesso. Então eu decidi enfrentar meus medos e comprá-la online.
Depois de muitas pesquisas, encontrei uma, em boas condições, preço justo e parecia seguro, então eu comprei, minha primeira mala de grife, a LV Randonnee. Devo dizer que estou totalmente satisfeito. Chegou rápido e é como eu queria. Adoro este modelo porque é ao mesmo tempo vintage e moderno, é de bom tamanho e muito prático. Estou feliz que seja vintage, isso a torna mais única e tem história, e é uma boa maneira de consumir – estou definitivamente feliz com a minha decisão, embora tenha ocorrido em uma época em que eu não deveria estar gastando dinheiro, foi um bom investimento em mim – um presente de aniversário atrasado (olha a desculpa!!).

Então, essa é a história… Agora é verdade que estou querendo alguns sapatos de designer e outra bolsa menor. Mas eu vou levar o meu tempo, a busca também faz parte disso e quando você investe em peças como essas, eu realmente acho que temos que tomar o nosso tempo e ter certeza que vamos comprar uma peça vamos aproveitar mesmo, senão não tem sentido.
