Hɇj Copenhagen!
And March was a special month. Part of Miranda’s celebrated its birthday in Copenhagen! I must admit that I went there shortly “blind”, so no expectations or disappointments. And thanks to that I have just discovered a new way to travel and I liked very much.
Apart from my anxiety before leaving, and the unpleasant surprise of the parking price where I left my little blue car EVERYTHING was perfect! We stayed in a super cool and creative hostel in the heart of the city center next to the central station. Better than that im-pos-sible!
Copenhagen exudes design and art. Graffiti are found everywhere in the walls of buildings and I’m crazy about that. In addition, it is also the country of the bikes; people ride their bikes everywhere, not even the temperature affects it (sensation of -10 + wind).
Everyone I met spoke English and even some French, so chic! Miranda made a lot of things: we visited vintage stores and design, music “flea markets” (yes I still buy the CDs !!), and local brands/stores so well decorated and with great products, like GUL where I bought a beautiful oversized purse… We walked kilometers freezing our hands but always smiling!
One thing I did not know was that people there eat avocado very often, and oh my the quality of the avocados there is really something special. This is part of the breakfast in most cafes. We went to a downtown café in the very first day that had an incredible pesto and avocado toast! In another, Atelier September, I had this yogurt with a homemade granola and a zucchini jam all sprinkled with matcha… A madness explosion in the mouth, Miranda loves novelty and originality.
THE GRØD (porridge in Danish) is a typical dish there and also the name of the specialized coffeehouse. They make even risotto with oats. I must say that we eat very well in this country and at a fairly affordable price.
Special mention for the Superkilen park, just incredible, an urban artwork, a true open-air exhibition. As an architect, I was in paradise. It’s Worth the detour.
Funny thing: Copenhagen has a black hole kind if thing going on that makes us lose things!! I lost 2 earrings from one day to the next. In addition, there are lost gloves all over the city, so it has been concluded that there is a mysterious energy spell, hehehe… Jokes aside, Miranda is enchanted for this colorful and very cultural city.

Et c’est mois était spécial. Une partie de Mirande fête son anniversaire à Copenhague! J’avoue que je suis allée en peu à l’aveugle, comme ça pas d’expectatives ni déceptions. Et grâce à cela je viens de découvrir une nouvelle façon de voyager que m’a beaucoup plu.
A part mon anxiété avant partir, et la mauvaise surprise du prix du parking où j’avais laissé ma petite bleu voiture, TOUT était parfait ! On a resté dans une auberge super cool et créatif au cœur du centre-ville à côté de la gare central. Mieux que cela i-m-p-o-s-s-i-b-l-e.
Copenhagen respire le design et l’art. On trouve des graphitages partout dans les murs des bâtiments et je suis folle de ça. En plus, c’est aussi le pays du vélo, les gens se déplacent en vélo partout, peu importe la température (sensation de -10 certains de ces jours-là). Tout le monde que j’ai croisé parlait anglais et quelques-uns même le français : La classe !
Miranda a fait tant de choses : on a visité des magasin vintage et design, de « brocantes » de musique (oui j’achète encore les Cds !!), des magasins locaux, décoré de façon très épuré et moderne, comme GUL où j’ai acheté un joli sac oversized… On a marché des kilomètres en congelant les mains, mais toujours en souriant !
Un truc que je ne savais pas c’est que là-bas les gens mangent d’avocat à gauche et à droit. Cela fait partie du petit-déj de la plupart des cafés. On est allé dans un café au centre-ville qui avait une tartine d’avocat pesto incroyable ! Dans une autre, Atelier September, j’ai mangé du yaourt avec une granola maison et une compote de courgette tout cela saupoudré de matcha… Une folie dans la bouche, Miranda adore une nouveauté et l’originalité.
LE GRØB (porridge en danois) est un plat typique et aussi le nom du café spécialisé sur cela. Il fond même du risotto avec avoine. D’ailleurs, on mange très bien dans ce pays et à un prix assez accessible.
Mention spéciale pour le parc Superkilen, juste incroyable, une oeuvre d’art urbaine, une vraie exhibition à ciel ouvert. Comme architecte jltais n ouevre d’’étais en paradis. Ça vaut vraiment le détour !
Truc drôle : Copenhague a un sort de trou noir que nous faire perdre des choses !! J’ai perdu 2 boucles d’oreilles d’un jour à l’autre. En plus, on trouve de gants perdus partout dans la ville, alors on a conclu qu’il existe un sort d’énergie mystérieuse, hehehe… De blagues à part, Miranda est enchantée pour cette ville colorée et très culturelle.
